Well, September 16th came and went without anything happening. I have been watching the same gas station where I heard the rumor last week, and they still have their sign up advertising 100% pure gasoline. I hope it was just some bad information and that nothing is going to change in the near future. Even if we start mass producing Cellulosic Ethanol instead of the Corn based stuff, we need to have the option to run our older vehicles on the kind of fuel they require. Why can't we have a choice at a single pump to use E-0, E-10, E-85, and Diesel? They've been doing something like this in Brazil for years.
Anyways, since 100% gasoline is still available for now, I will get to complete the test that I started to find out the difference in mileage between E-10 and E-0 in my Mazda 6. I will post my results from my first tank on pure gasoline, though I've heard it may take a few fill-ups before I start to see a noticeable difference.
